Yet not everyone seems to care.
Or at least, not as it should.
If you have watched the Mad Man series on Amazon Prime Video and possess a certain sensibility, you will have been shocked at the virtually zero care for the environment
After a picnic with his family, Don Draper leaves leaving the lawn covered with garbage, with the naturalness of someone who lived in those years.
That generation, the generation of the 1960s, is the most difficult to change. They used to throw garbage into the condominium column that opened onto the balconies.
He smoked in movie theaters and on airplanes.
It was the generation of “I pay, so someone will do it for me.”
Not all boomers are like this, but it must be admitted that it is hard to eradicate habits calcified over time.
Planet is changing, so what?
So let’s buy the electric car, class A++ homes, focus on renewables, scooters, recycling, and smart appliances.
But this is only the tip of the iceberg.
While this is all too much for a boomer, it is not enough for Generation Z.
Our oceans are turning into a
plastic soup
. Dead to them dead to us.
Yes but then what is to be done?
The antidote to all this is to react
Understand the weight of our actions and stop thinking that someone else will solve the problem.
An act as simple as writing can contribute in doing something.
How? Using the right tool such as a pen whose recycled plastic comes from beaches around the world.
Thanks to Plastic Bank, we brought Recycool Pen to life. We reuse plastic before it reaches the sea, giving it new life and most importantly, triggering a new virtuous circle.
