RPET RECYCLING PROCESS

The material used for our pens is 100% recycled and demonstrable by an advanced tracking system.

Plastic bottle collection
Water and soft drink bottles are collected, in specific bags or containers, dedicated to recycling collection, both in our homes and around the city.
Sorting
The collected plastics are transported to the various sorting centers to begin the reuse process.

Material separation
The collected material is sorted according to the type of plastic used. (e.g. PET, ABS, HDPE, etc.).

Purge and storage
Water and soft drink bottles are cleaned of labels and glue by hot water, pressed into bales and sent to the recycling process.
Grinding
Bottles, including caps and collars, are ground. The flakes produced by crushing-PET from bottles, HDPE from caps-are divided by flotation.

Flake washing and packaging
The flakes are washed, dried and packaged. A sample is taken for laboratory analysis. Water used for washing is purified for reuse.
Scale fusion
The flake material is melted and pressed for the production of our rPET items.
Creating custom pens and accessories
All products in "The rPET Collection" line are ready-made and once they are finished being used, they can be recycled again. The pen design and manufacturing process with the rPET material are patented worldwide.

ALUMINUM RECYCLING PROCESS

Cans collection
Cans are collected in specific bags or containers dedicated to collection differentiated, both in our homes and around the city.

Sorting
The cans are then taken to sorting centers for sorting.
Compression
The cans (after being sorted) are crushed to reduce their volume.
Purge and storage
The aluminum pieces are cleaned through a mechanical and chemical process to remove impurities and inks.
Fusion
The aluminum bales are melted at high temperatures reaching and exceeding 750 degrees Centigrade in large-capacity furnaces.

Laying aluminum foil
Aluminum alloy is created by adding metals such as copper, zinc, magnesium or silicone. The alloy formula is chosen based on the future use of recycled aluminum.
Addition of other metals
The aluminum foils are ready to be used for creating our pens.
